Students of Lawn Primary school are raising money to improve the quality and number of iPads available in school. The School Parliament pointed out that they were 'prehistoric'. Dinosaur Day is set up to raise money for new iPads.

Story

The idea for Dinosaur Day came from the Chair of the School Parliament, Zara, in Year 6. Our survey of the children's opinions showed that they really wanted to improve the quality and number of iPads in school. Zara pointed out that they were 'prehistoric' and that the School Parliament could plan a Dinosaur Day to raise money for new iPads. The School Parliament also had the idea of making pledges for Dinosaur Day. Inspired by the super successful fundraising that they did in the autumn for sports equipment the children decided there would be prizes depending on the pledge made - or pledges if more members of the family are joining in. For £5 pledged the reward is a dinosaur pencil, for £10 pledged it is a dinosaur pin badge for their tie, and for £20 pledged it is the pin badge and a stationery set.
