Alex's cancer was rare, especially for his age. It was diagnosed too late and treatment options were limited. 55% of UK cancer deaths are from rare and less common cancers. Despite this, these cancers remain severely under represented and under funded across all areas; including policy, services and research. Cancer52 aims to promote improved diagnosis, treatment and support for those affected by rare and less common cancers.
